sketchcrawl 26: the waterfront, sf

We met in an industrial part of town along the waterfront south of the ballpark. The skies kept threatening rain, but never quite delivered. Here is the view from the patio of The Ramp restaurant with heavy skies looming, fellow sketchers and a frenzy of pigeons attacking some leftover fries, graffiti-tagged cranes along the harbor drawn from a sheltered perch, a lone parked motorcycle drawn from the same perch, and factory towers. Beautiful compositions. I really like how minimalist the motorcycle spread is.

Please tell me that each of these sketches took hours to complete -- because the detail that you pack into "sketches" never ceases to amaze me.

Justin, these were all done between 10:30am and 4:00pm with some time for walking around and scouting the next location in between and a little time out for lunch.
