worldwide sketchcrawl - benefit for japan

This Saturday's World Wide SketchCrawl, April 16th, is a special benefit to raise funds for Japan disaster relief. I will be drawing all day with my local sketchcrawl contingent in San Francisco. Please sponsor me in this drawing marathon by making a donation at this link to GIVE2ASIA.

The usual cold, slightly foggy summer morning in San Francisco. We met at the Warming Hut in Crissy Fields - seems to have been about 50 of us - and sketched our way to the Palace of Fine Arts. Some images from last saturday's World Wide Sketchcrawl. We met at the ferry building in the morning and again later at union square. sketchcrawl 26: the waterfront, sf

We met in an industrial part of town along the waterfront south of the ballpark. The skies kept threatening rain, but never quite delivered. Here is the view from the patio of The Ramp restaurant with heavy skies looming, fellow sketchers and a frenzy of pigeons attacking some leftover fries, graffiti-tagged cranes along the harbor drawn from a sheltered perch, a lone parked motorcycle drawn from the same perch, and factory towers.
