sketchcrawl 25: yerba buena gardens, sf

Saturday marked the 5th anniversary of Enrico Casarosa's original SketchCrawl. It's grown into a worldwide phenomenon with more participants in more locations every time. Here's to many more.

For more sketches from San Francisco and around the world, visit the forums at sketchcrawl.com

Here's a recent story about Sketchcrawl, featuring one of my sketches, over at Lines and Colors

Excellent drawings. I think the drawing of MOMA behind the tree branches is my favorite. This is such a unique composition - when I've been in situations like that in the past, I've often found myself straining to see around the branches or whatever obstacle rather than just working it into the drawing. I love that you just went with what you saw in front of you and came up with a really great piece of work.

Excellent sketches ... I agree with Alex about that first one - I would have wimped out and looked for a 'better' vantage point. Next time perhaps I'll think differently.

I like that second sketch a lot. Especially since I've sat right there and drawn those same two buildings before!
