urban sketchers

I've just become a correspondent over at urban sketchers.com. Urban Sketchers (USk) is the brainchild of Seattle journalist and illustrator Gabi Campanario and features location drawings and sketch reporting from all over the globe with new stuff posted daily. It's like a world-wide sketchcrawl that never ends. Check it out if you haven't already. Here's my introduction page. I'll be posting location drawings from northern California and anywhere else I travel to. Most of them I'll post here too, but a few may be USk exclusives.

Above is the Lone Star Industries cement factory in Oakland. I've often seen it in the distance from the freeway and thought of it as the "milk carton" building because of its distinctive shape.
